Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked if Congress received huge sums from Mr. Ambani & Mr. Adani after Rahul Gandhi suddenly stopped attacking them.
On Wednesday, at a rally in Telangana’s Karimnagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioned Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s “deals” with businessmen and asked why he stopped abusing them immediately after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were announced.
The prime minister also asked if Gandhi received huge sums from Ambani-Adani because he suddenly stopped attacking them.
“You must have seen that the Congress shehzada [prince] has been singing for the last five years, as soon as he woke up in the morning. Since his Rafale question landed, he started a new song. five years. , he sang – five businessmen, five businessmen. Then he started saying, Ambani-Adani, Ambani-Adani. But since the election was announced, he stopped abusing Ambani-Adani,” said PM Modi.
“Today I want to ask the state of Telangana how much the prince took from Ambani-Adani in this election. How many bags of black money does he have? Did the music beat reach the convention? What is it that you stopped exploiting Ambani-Adani overnight? For five years you abused Ambani-Adani and stopped suddenly. It means you have something. The people of the country must be responsible for this,” he added.
For most of his second term as prime minister, Modi drew criticism from the Congress, particularly Rahul Gandhi, for his alleged links with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman and CEO Mukesh Ambani and Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani.
In a series of attacks on the Prime Minister, including in Parliament, Rahul accused PM Modi of favoring these corporate groups and even demanded revenge.
After PM Modi’s comments on Ambani and Adani, Reliance Industries was trading 1.68 percent higher at Rs 2,851.05 at 12.56 pm, while Adani Enterprises was 1.40 percent higher at 2,875 rupees.
