Sushil Modi, the former deputy chief minister of Bihar, has died at the age of 72.

The senior BJP pioneer Sushil Modi passed away at AIIMS in Unused Delhi today. Sushil, 72, had been undergoing cancer treatment in the critical care section of the healing center for the past month.

The BJP’s longstanding leader, who was formerly the party’s most well-liked figure in Bihar, rejected the current actions. elections for the Lok Sabha, mentioning his health as well. On April 3, he announced the news on social media with a post on X, the former Twitter platform.

“I have been fighting cancer for the last six months. Now I feel it’s time to tell people. I can’t do anything in the assembly elections. I told everything to the chief minister. Always grateful and always dedicated to the state, I told the Chief Minister. Bihar and the party,” his message read.



His absence was most felt in Bihar, where he had considerable influence on the party built over three decades.

Over 11 a long time between 2005 and 2020, in two spells, he had served as the Delegate of Bihar Chief Serve Nitish Kumar.

He was too grieved by senior BJP pioneers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Ravi Shankar Prasad.

“I am saddened by the news of death of our supreme leader Sushil Kumar Modi ji. Today Bihar has definitely lost a great pioneer of politics. From ABVP to BJP Sushil ji held many important positions in organization and government. His policies were dedicated. to the interests of the poor and the backward, hence the vacuum created in Bihar politics cannot be filled for long. In this hour of grief, the entire BJP stands with his bereaved family. May God grant the departed soul a place at his lotus feet. Om Shanti Shanti,” reads a rough translation of Mr. Shah’s message.

“Deeply saddened to hear of the demise of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sushil Modi Ji. From Vidhyarthi Parishad to now, we have been working together for a long time for the organization. Sushil Modi Ji’s entire life was dedicated to Bihar. Sushil Modi Ji’s efforts were very helpful in bringing Bihar out of the jungle and on the path of development. His absence is an irreparable loss to countless workers,” BJP leader JP Nadda’s post read.

“His work for the advancement of Bihar will continuously be recalled,” posted Rajnath Singh.

Previous Bihar Chief Serve and HAM chief Jitan Smash Manjhi moreover posted his condolences on X. “Sincere tribute to our expensive companion, previous Agent Chief Serve of Bihar and previous Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sushil Kumar Modi ji on his end,” his post examined.

Political match Tejashwi Yadav — who had slipped into Sushil Modi’s shoes amid Nitish Kumar’s spells with the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal as portion of Amazing Collusion — and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, too grieved him.
