According to the latest update from cbseresults.nic.in, the board has confirmed that the results for both the categories will be declared after 20th May 2024. This update comes as a help to around 39 lakh students from 26 different countries who participated in these exams and eagerly await their results.
Class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 13, while class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 2, 2024. The exams were done in one shift from 10:30 am. to 1:30 p.m. exam days
Section 2: How to check CBSE Results?
Once the results are declared, students have several options to check their results through various online methods:
1. CBSE Official Website (cbse.nic. in):
– Go to cbse.nic.in and click on Results.
– Enter all the necessary information to achieve the result.
2. CBSE Results Portal (cbseresults.nic.in):
– Go to cbseresults.nic.in, select the appropriate category and enter the roll number and other required details to view the results.
3. Government Results Portal (results.gov.in):
– Visit results.gov.in.
– Select the CBSE Result and enter the required details to get the result.
4. DigiLocker:
– Download the DigiLocker app or visit the DigiLocker website.
– Login or register (if new) and search CBSE results to enter your details and access the results.

CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta had earlier clarified that both Class 10 and Class 12 results will be announced in May, without specifying a specific date or time. This clarification follows the spread of misinformation on social media platforms claiming that the results will be announced on May 1, 2024.
Section 4: Improved Marking Scheme and Changes
CBSE has implemented changes in the marking scheme for class 10 and 12 this year, which focus on competency-based questions. In Class 10, 50% of questions assessed ability using formats such as MCQs, case-based questions and source-based integrated questions, an increase from 40% last year. Objective questions consisted exclusively of multi-layered questions with 20% weight, while short and long answer type questions were reduced in weight by 30%.
Similarly, grade 12 exams had 40% competency-based questions and followed a similar format to grade 10. Objective questions remained MCQ questions with 20% weightage, while short and long answer type questions were given 40% weightage, reducing the previous year from 50%. The changes follow the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and encourage a more progressive approach to assessment.

Once the results are out, students can access their results instantly through multiple platforms:

After publication, students can check their result by entering their roll number and date of birth. According to a CBSE press release, schools will automatically receive the results of their entire school using the email IDs registered with the board.
2. Mobile Apps: Use the UMANG or DigiResults mobile apps for Android, iOS or Windows-based smartphones to view results.
3. Digilocker: Use the results with the Digilocker application for digital marking sheets.
4. Text Message Service: Students of classes 10th and 12th will receive their results via text message by sending them in the required format to a selected number.
